I worked with Don at B&L and revered him as a programming mentor and a friend. I always found him to be a very gentle and kind soul. Although he was soft-spoken, when he did speak it was with a measured intellect that illustrated his vast experience & knowledge. During one of our coding challenges in our department, Don explained how to solve the problem by using nibbles, the 2nd smallest unit of measurement of data transmission and storage, which definitely impressed many of his fellow programmers. That was Don -- quiet but very impressive in how he processed problems and his depth of knowledge. Don and I would meet weekly for a coding mentorship which I think was beneficial for both of us. He would often share experiences of his past or memories with his wife and kids - but more importantly, he would laugh about silly things from his life. During one of our weekly sessions, Don shared with me a particular day long ago when he had traveled and experienced a mosh pit at a music festival. He went to work the following day with black eyes and bruises all over his body, much to his coworker's surprise. As he recalled the story, we laughed at the unusual and uncharacteristic sight. It is this laughter that I will remember most. My sincere condolences to Don's wife, Nadine, and his boys. Don was a treasure and will be missed.

As a co-worker of Don's, I was always amazed by his knowledge - such a intelligent man. And a devoted father - you could see his loving influence in his boys, all young gentlemen. His talent and friendship will certainly be missed.

I worked on Don's team at B&L. I was always impressed with Don's problem-solving intuition and engineering skills. I fondly remember playing Roblox with Don during the pandemic, where he showed off a game that he had been working on with us. We also had a lot of fun working on a game called "Tiger King of the Hill" (TKOTH) where he developed an efficient control system to move the player character on screen. My sincerest condolences go out to Don's family.
