What a great guy, every time I saw Denver I was met with a smile and I left with a chuckle. Friendship and laughter are true gifts and Denver gave both freely. I will miss those moments. "To a life well lived"

Where do I begin? So many great childhood memories of Denver and the Nower's ~ Great America in the back of the Blazer and the "Truly Tasteless Joke" book (belly-laughing), collecting cans in Saugatuck filling trashbags full, watching The Hulk and Dukes of Hazzard in the house on Marvin, Eaton Park baseball and night games, etc. But, the one that always stands out is after I moved to GA in '82 right before the North Lincoln youth baseball all-star tournament started. Denver was a coach and knew how much something like that meant to a young kid. He sent me the trophy "our" team won even though I didn't get to play. That still resonates with me on how a simple gesture can have such an impact. Later as an adult I had a similar opportunity coaching a little league team. A player moved just before the end of our season. We went on to win the championship... I made sure he got his trophy. Paying it forward. Thoughts, prayers and love to all of Denver's family and especially my dear friend, Mike, Anne, Haleigh Jo, Allison and Mike's sister, Kim.

We have fond memories of our younger years raising our families, playing softball, bowling, playing cards, and our wonderful cookouts playing volleyball. You were a great friend. Our condolences to you Renee, Kim, Michael and your family. Rest in Peace, Denver.

What a wonderful Father, Father-in-Law and most importantly Grandfather! You could make anyone smile with your thoughtful words! I will miss seeing your smiling face at Mikes house! I loved seeing you watch the girls play basketball and baseball, the excitement when they knew you were there! You have left your mark and your memory on so many people and I am truly blessed to have known you! Rest In Peace dear friend!
