Dear Betty, Lisa, Laurie and Lynn, Our father Uno kept in touch with his cousin Dennis for many years. We fondly remember when Dennis, Betty and Laurie visited us in Finland. It was also a great experience for Uno to be able to visit Dennis and his family in the US together with Ulla-May. We remember Dennis warmly and offer our heartfelt condolences.

Dennis & family were always so far away, but still regularly present. I grew up with occasional updates about you all – it was good to have Dennis as a link to our US-relatives. Now the older generation is more or less gone, but the chain is still here, even if it is changing form. My condolences to you all.

Dear Betty and family, It has been an immense pleasure to have known Dennis over the years. I started hunting with my uncles up on Fuzz‘s land in 1977. Quite an experience to have hunted with my uncles, Chuck, Jim, Bob, Guzzy and Dick along with Fuzz, Eddie Zawada, Dean Geronimi, Augie, Anderson and others. I was a novice hunter at that time, but under their guidance learned a lot from their years of experience. Fuzz was hunting from age 10 until last year missing only two years in world war two. That may be a Michigan record. Just 2 years ago he shot two bucks -tracked them, field dressed and drag them back to camp himself. He really enjoyed the outdoors, wildlife and camp life with his friends. He was my camp dad. Chuck and Fuzz would always look out for me. When ever something needed to be done around camp he would get the buddies together and inevitably he would be the foreman because he knew how to do just about everything. Just a few years ago he built a garage from scratch. Pouring the concrete by mixing it with sand from the sandpit with a motorized mixer pretty much by himself. His hunting stories along with his father’s will remain as a long-standing camp legacy. Any members of the family are always welcome to camp grizzly. We still consider it his camp. Our goal is to be good stewards of the forest and land for future generations as well. My son-in-laws and grandchildren are enjoying the property. Allison Gussert’s husband and son are also hunting it regularly My condolences to you and your daughters. Amazing man. Amazing legend. Yours truly, Smokey Jensen

Dear Betty and Family so sorry for your loss but I know Dennis will always be in Your Hearts. He was a beautiful person. Dennis is the last remaining friend and customer for me from the time that I worked at K.O. Swanson's Service station in Kingsford. This was in the Fifties while in High School at K.H.S. Dennis and many of his friends, the Gusserts, Lindstroms, Paternosters, Beyers, Swansons and many others would hang around K.O.'S in the evening before heading to Cavi's Crystal Bar in Aurora. Betty it was so great seeing you and Dennis at the Catholic Church in Kingsford. Always saw you two sitting in the same pew seats. Your sister Gerri was one of my favorite Classmates from K.H.S. Class of 1954. Loved talking with you about Gerri. I will miss Dennis also. Most of my friends and relatives have passed away and are missed so much. Hope all is well with you and your Family Doug St. Onge

Betty and family, Very sorry for your loss. Fuzzy was my electrical supervisor during my apprenticeship years and until he retired. He was also a great mentor and had a gift for making something complicated, easy to understand. You both had a good long life and retirement which is a blessing. You are in our thoughts and prayers..
