high school friend and college room mate at MSU. Many stories as we were growing up in life. Chuck had a nickname at MSU of " game man " He loved to play cards and chess. I came back to South Haven to visit Chuck on March 13th and was shocked to find he had passed away.

I sold Charlie an old beat up Cruisers boat well past it prime, but it was what Charlie could afford and he told me he'd upgrade in a year. Many years later and thousands of dollars of repairs. I told Charlie it was time kto put this boat in the graveyard. He looked at me with this weird smerk and said "I can't, it catches fish!" That was Charlie through and through.

Charlie "The Toe" as he was known to his fellow teammates of the SH Rams 1964 football team. You will be missed for your Facebook posts and our telephone conversations. I agree with classmate Barry Shanley - you will be missed!! Your old buddy #74.
