Carmen's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Carmen here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Carmen was a man of quiet strength, could read a room without ever speaking, who valued his boys more than gold, a man who left a legacy much different than his father, a legacy that his family values proved to be center to his universe. Although man years have passed He left an impression on my life. I can never drive to Buchanan without remembering all the times he got me out of a ticket. Or the time when he pulled me over and I didn’t know it was him. Hope there was a cigar and the fastest, T-top Corvette waiting for you.

I met Carmen at age 5 when we were playing together for the first time at my parents (Bud & Patti Wright) home/ farm house at 920 North Shore Drive Benton Harbor, MI. We always played in the ravine behind the garage playing war. Carmen always played the role of a police officer/sergeant of our neighborhood squad. I will miss how he cared for me, my family and served as a trusted police officer for so many years. We spoke on the phone about 6 months ago, and we finally caught each other about ourselves and our family lives. Carmen showed me and my brother Taylor (who passed 2-17-2020) on how to have fun, and was always so gracious with my sister Susie Wright Kuhrt. I am so sorry we can not be there tomorrow for Carmen's services, but please know we loved him and will miss Carmen! It is hard to believe that my best friend in life is now with the Lord and no longer suffering. God bless Carmen his wife, his children, Mike,Joe, Christy and Tommy. Love Jamie,Susie and Patti Wright

Carmen always had fun teasing me about dating my daughter and then when they got married he really teased me. I will miss his phone call saying hey don amanda didn't know who foghat was or he would laugh because she had to listen to stairway to heaven by led zepplin. I used to love our trips to Azars big boy in Stevensville and all the trips to Capozio's. I will surely miss all the fun we had.
