Joie and Steve, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She was my gym teacher in Jr. High and taught me a love for gymnastics! What a legacy she must have left with her many students - she was very well liked!!! My sympathy to you and your family.

Joie, Frances, Gus & Rene, I've known your mother when we moved here in Stevensville in 1987. She was the very first Filipino whom we had met and interacted with after a Sunday Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church South (known then as the "Annex"). Your mom is a sweet and a gentle lady. My special memory of her was when she came to the house to tape a song for her loving friend and our occasional hugs and kisses on Saturday Masses at St. Bernard's. To note, your mother fought a long battle, but she embraced it lovingly & wholeheartedly with hope, grace and trust in the Lord. My condolences with my deepest sympathy. May you find comfort, strength and peace in God's love and compassion. I hold you all in my thoughts and prayers.
