Miss Biek was my 2nd grade teacher, and I think we were her first class (but I could be wrong). She was a talented educator, engaged her class and made learning fun. In reading more of her life, she also made great contributions to the Dowagiac area. God Bless her family.

I have known Ann since the 1970s when I was a young birder at Sarett Nature Center. She was a thoughtful, kind person and I have wonderful memories of birding with her. She will be missed by her birding friends.

Ann was such a kind hearted and beautiful woman. Always there when needed at Holy Maternity of Mary Church. She sang in the choir she had a wonderful voice and smile to go along with it. Ann will be missed by so many of us. Ann fought till the very end and had such a strong Faith in God! We all learned so much from her. I know that God has her in the Palms of His Hands!!! Blessings and Hugs!!!!

Ann Biek was such a selfless, wonderful person. I have known her for years and years--first starting when my now grown children attended Justus Gage and I was involved for many years with the J Gage PTO. Never will forget she taught her class throughout her 1st experience of Chemo--never thought twice. I have known her thru our Church and thru our HALO Group at Church. She was such a giving Church Member and would volunteer for any task. It seems her whole retirement years were full of her wonderful volunteer "jobs" and helping others. She will certainly be missed and I am glad she has reunited with her parents and siblings that she missed so much. Rest In Peace Ann! Mary Parmley

Miss Biek was my 3rd grade teacher. I remember her bringing in baby raccoons she was fostering at the time. It was a really neat thing to see. I also remember her having pencils with the biggest erasures on them. She would often have to erase my work. We would start again. She was one of the teachers who helped shaped my education. Prayers to her family.
