Amy Marie Graves, 54, of Watervliet passed away on Sunday October 16, 2022 in the comfort of her home following a long battle with cancer.
Amy was born on September 8, 1968, in Coldwater, Ohio, the daughter of Ronald and Janet (Link) Westgerdes. Amy was employed by Lowe’s for the past 29 years.
Amy loved spending her free time visiting with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the movies, and spending time by the lake or anywhere she could enjoy the beauty of nature. Not only did she love her actual family she also loved her work family, of which countless co-workers referred to her as their work mom. She was a very loyal woman who would do anything she could to make sure those around her were taken care of, often before herself.
Surviving are her partner of 26 years, Mark Matthias; three children, Patrick (Alison) Graves, Nicholas (Ashley) Graves of Benton Harbor and Josh (Kristen) Matthias of Hartford; four grandsons, Sullivan and Sawyer Graves and Parker and Brayden Matthias; mother, Jan Westgerdes of St. Henry, OH; and brother, Terrence (Tammy) Westgerdes of Vista, CA.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 2:00-5:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph.
