We can not say enough good words about our Carol. She was a much loved member of our Franklin Woods community, always checking on the well~being of each of us. ,Paul and Carol took daily walks stopping to talk to neighbors they met on the way. She always had a smile and positive word to say. Her strength held us all up; if we seemed down she would help us look on the bright side. We will miss her!

Carole will be missed by those who knew her. She had a way of making one smile with her wit and humor. Though I was a colleague teaching next door to her classroom, she was like a “mother” to me in many ways. After she retired and moved to Traverse City, she continued to extend her caring love with weekly phone calls. She truly was a loving person. There are no forever good-byes.

Carole, a grand lady, a kind and humorous coworker, a master teacher, and a mentor to many in the educational field. Warm hearted remembrances and deep appreciation for the years I worked with Carole.

As Aunt Pauline passed on to Carole keeping track of the Bailey and Evans families, her cards and phone calls will be missed by all. She was like a little sister more than a first cousin as we grew up working on the farm. I’ll miss her calls and cards, but most of all her cheerful nature, loving smile and words of advice.

Carole was a positive force in our Franklin Woods neighborhood. On her daily walks with Paul she would check in with all the neighbors, young and old, who happened to be outside. We had long talks and some good laughs about our experiences teaching since we were both long term educators. She was committed to providing youngsters with quality learning experiences and always had a few words of advice in that department. Her presence around the block will be missed. We will keep Carole and her family in our thoughts and prayers. Linda and Vern Barker
