What a beautifully written tribute to your father. I never saw Tom without a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. He always seemed to be enjoying life wherever you ran into him. Hold fast to your memories.

Prayers for the family. I’ll always remember the first time I met Mr Leva. I was 13 and he was coaching little league and I was an umpire. We took off right away. Sometime later I was riding a moped through town with no helmet. He followed me and when I stopped he very graciously gave me albeit somewhat stern talking to about wearing a helmet. I took it to heart as I had mad respect for him. And yet another time I ran into him at the hospital. My then 2 yr old needed stitches and was freaking out, the nurses couldn’t hold him, and it took both Tom and myself to lay on my son. I will always remember the size of Tom’s eyes as he looked at me as my 2 yr son was lifting both of us up off the gurnery. He said “this kid is strong!!” Job well done Mr Tom! Thanks for all the lives you have touched. We will see each other again.

Good memories. As a fellow Engineer, I worked with Tom at Palisades. Even after going to DC Cook, I would still see Tom around town, and we would always have a good chat.

I have so many fond memories from spending time at the Leva house. Of Tom I can remember singing songs and dancing around. I think Karen Carpenter was a favorite. I keep looking for his blue truck and smiling face especially on the weekend on his way to church. Tom always asked me about my brother, Daniel, the fire fighter. I will miss seeing him interact with his kids and grandkids. His joy was contagious.

To the Leva Family I am so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful tribute to an amazing man. His smile and kindness will forever be a lasting memory. I remember babysitting for the Leva family for years! I always felt safe at their home and knew I'd arrive home safely. I remember seeing them in church and Tom always around town. He knew my family well. He will definitely be smiling down upon us. He will be an angel with my Mom and will forever be with us. Chris Thompson (Lammlin)

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. We met Tom when he repaired a few of our Sylvania TVs back in the late 70’s and would see him at church. He always made a point to visit after church. During those conversations you could tell how very proud of his children he was when he spoke of them. May your memories give you comfort.

Tom always had a smile on his face and a good story to tell. I remember joking about all of the broken VCR's laying around. He was always willing to fix or at least attempt to fix the cursed machines. Tom was a quiet, gentle and kind man. The world won't be the same place without him. My condolences to his family. RIP Tom...

Sherry and Leva family, we are both so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and pray that your memories bring you peace. Tom was always smiling, always willing to help, always tooting his horn with a friendly "hello" as he drove by the house. I enjoyed working with Tom as a firefighter/paramedic and have many memories of our times together. He will be missed.
