Bryan and Family, Condolences on the passing of your father. He was such a good person, helpful in ALL things. While, believe it or not, I never had him in high school, many years after high school he would help by being a rules official at my summer golf tours. And he and your mother donated to the South Haven Girls Golf team, which I coach, and for which we were always very grateful. It was justice that he lived a long, productive life. Barry Shanley .

Bryan, Dennis, Jeff and Kenny - I have fond memories of your mom and dad, as a child playing with Bryan and later as a high school student and then later yet at the hardware store. They were always kind and fiercely proud of their boys, and made a big impact on South Haven. I hope you find solace in the many, many years that you had them.

To the Dale Lewis family, we loved your Dad so much. As a niece, I will be missing Uncle Dale and Aunt Olga always, missing their presence here in Florida during visits to our Mom and Dad's home, missing the fun we all had returning yearly to the home farm with its country roads and family gatherings, missing his stories, his distinctive voice on calls with Olga and him on the other end of the line, He meant so much to all the folks in his full life - the students he taught and counseled, the local community he served in various ways, service clubs he contributed valuable time to, Habitat for Humanity homes he helped build. Obviously, his many accomplishments were just a slice of all he meant to so many. To our family, he was an ever-smiling, often-laughing, fun uncle who with Aunt Olga handled a room full of energetic boys, our cousins growing up. Your parents were proud of you all and I'm glad their faith strengthened them and gave them joy, as the promise of heaven now welcomes him home with the Lord and Aung Olga and so many loved ones all around. God be with you all.

To the Lewis family: Lisa and I are saddened to hear of Dale's passing. We have fond memories of worshipping with and serving alongside him for our time at Hope. Dale was always an encouragement to me personally, and I always appreciated his love of hymns, the choir and organ in a worship service -- and how all of those contributed greatly to his own expression of worshipping his Creator. Our condolences to the family. What an amazing life lived!

Prayers to the Lewis Family! Dale was my 7th grade science teacher and in high school, he was my mechanical drawing I & II teacher. Always enjoyed his classes. When I became a high school football official, there was Dale as the clock operator and when he saw me, he would question me on the proper clock operation. Dale was a great guy and will surely be missed!

Having grown up at Hope Church, I can't remember a time without the Lewis family in mine. I treasure the times spent with their sons in youth group, Catechism and Sunday School. As an adult. I reflect on the huge example they were of "servanthood ". Whether it was in the kitchen or the property or through their faithful giving.....Well Done, good and faithful servant(s). To the entire Lewis Family, What a man of honor and integrity Dale Lewis was! His faith was strong, vibrant, and contagious. Dale made everyone feel welcome, expressing his gift of hospitality to all who entered into a room. He was a man of grit, lending a hand to any project that came his way. And Dale was fiercely loyal - loyal to Olga and his four boys, their wives, and then the next generations - loyal to Hope Church and South Haven Public Schools - loyal to the South Haven community. It was a privilege to know Dale and to call him "friend." Our love and prayers, John and Marylin Bright, Holland MI projects, made everyone feel welcomed, fiercely loyal

I taught with Dale and Olga at the high school for many years. We had lunch together almost every day. Later I rented the house on Bradley Ave. from them. Dale certainly was a multi faceted and multi talented person. I’m sure he will be remembered by many for all the things he did for the community. My heart goes out to the Lewis family. May God‘s love and light surround and comfort you during this time and always.

Dale is an unforgettable person to me. When I was pastor at Hope Church (1963-1969), Dale was a pillar. Wise, energetic, engaged in what was best for all, he and Olga were a delight to be around. I loved playing softball and hitting the golf ball around with him and others. I think at least a couple of the boys were born (and baptized) when I was there. My best to you gentlemen. What a dad (and mom) you had. I remember when he began the storage business, finding a niche that needed to be filled. Dale and Olga Lewis. Building on the legacy that is Hope Church, South Haven. Thank you God. Thank you Lord, for this notable family!

Dale’s Family, We are so sorry for your loss. We wish you peace and love as you remember him. Our memories are great. Wi have known Dale since we first moved to town where he helped us join what was then the Berrien Teacher’s Credit Union. Then I got to know him as a colleague and someone I counted on heavily to help lead the high school team as we worked to improve the education we offered our students. Finally we continued to know and see Dale as I joined Rotary and we saw Dale and Olga at many Rotary events and worked with him on Rotary and other community projects. Our thoughts are with you, Dene and Linda Hadden

My sympathy to the Lewis family. I had the privilege to work for Dale building his storage barns for a couple summers. I learned a ton and enjoy working with my hands today because of that experience. I will never forget the glass bottles of ice cold Coca-Cola at break time.
