We are so sad to hear of Stan’s passing. He was very special to us...sharing fun experiences on our Washington, DC bus trip, dinners at Taste and Maria’s together and lots of great fun times at the Legion. Stan and Larry went together to the poppy field in Fennville just 2 weeks ago...he loved the handmade Diamond Willow cane that Larry let him use that day. Larry will miss his companionship that grew over the years. Rest In Peace, Stan...we will miss you.

Deepest condolences to the Wakild family. Dick was a childhood friend and neighbor who dedicated himself in service to the community. His family and especially his parents would be so proud of his accomplishments and the honors he earned. Sincere sympathy to Patti and all of the extended family. RIP Dick. .

Stan was a friend and co worker at Holland Hospital. We enjoyed many talks and a few lunches together. We spent a couple of days at my cottage up north. It was a shock when I heard of his passing. I am happy that I went and saw Stan recently when he was in Holland hospital. No knowing that would be our last visit. Rest In Peace my friend, until we meet again. My thoughts and prayers to Stans family. E “Doc”. Scholl

Stan welcomed me to South Haven. We shared the Police/Fire station. Stan was quick to get to go out for lunch, so we could share some time away from the station. Stan had a big heart, and was willing to share whatever he had. Rest in peace my friend

Stan was my uncle. He was the main reason I got into the fire service. My mom would got down to the old station and have coffee with him while he was on duty and I would be checking out all the cool stuff around the fire station. He would give me money to buy a Dr. Pepper out of the old pop machine in the back. Great memories with him and I will miss him. Rest in peace.
