Janet's Obituary
Janet Schack, 92, of South Haven, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at Caretel Inns in St. Joseph. She was born October 6, 1927 to Glenn and Arlene (Peters) Shuler in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Jan graduated from Benton Harbor High School and married George Schack on September 13, 1947. They shared 68 years of marriage before his passing in 2015.
She cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Her ever present smile, thoughtfulness and love for others will always be remembered.
Jan is survived by her two daughters, Laurie (Steve) O’Connell and Lynne (Eli) Sanchez; five grandchildren – Angela and Eric Sanchez, Ryan (Nikki), Sean (Cait) and Kevin O’Connell and great granddaughter Rory O’Connell and her brother Rev. Donald (Meg) Shuler.
She was preceded in death by her husband George and siblings Gordon Roland and Joyce Balka.
A celebration service will be held at a later date.
