I met Ronnee at Village Market and became friends. She was such a sweet lady. We had many talks at the store when it was quiet. She will be greatly missed, but we all have great memories in our hearts.

I loved this extraordinary woman. I met Ronnee about 10 years ago when we both started attending Church of the Epiphany. Her loving tenderness and open heart was immediately evident. She was stunning - both inside and out and she was deeply treasured by all of us at Epiphany. She always put concern for others first and faced her illness and setbacks with astounding courage, quiet strength and tremendous grace. I know she touched the heart of everyone she ever met. My heart is sad and is with her beautiful family. I will always miss her inspirational and radiant spirit here in our community.

Ronnee was the kind of person you would want for a friend. She had such a gracious and loving presence. We will always feel her in our lives in some way. Condolences to Don and her family.

My heart is heavy at the loss of my long time friend. We met in 1st grade at Main Street Elementary in Northville, MI and remained friends through these many years. There are no words to fully cover the wonderful friend she was, but I will cherish our many shared experiences from pajama parties to all-night talks when Ronnee visited me at MSU along with Donna Knapp. Don, Ryan, Amanda, you already know she was the best and how she loved you all. Know she was the best friend of my heart even though our married lives found us living far apart. I will always love and miss her.

I have a very distinct and beautiful memory of Ronnee. Chosen pew at Epiphany, darling grandson on her lap, priceless smile. She always conveyed a graceful serenity. Don and Family, holding you in my thoughts and prayers. Peace be with you.

Ronnee and I became BFF’s in 6th grade (although that term was not in our vocabulary way back then). We drove our parents to the brink of madness with our giggling and stories and our friendship remained strong throughout our lives. We were there for each other during the rough patches and we shared the good times too. I am so sad that I couldn’t help care for her or even just see her in these last few months. My heart is broken and there is a big hole where my dear friend used to be. To Phyliss, Don, Ryan, Amanda and all the other family members, I am so sorry for your loss. There was nobody like Ronnee and we were all lucky to have her in our lives. My love and condolences to you all.

I met Ronnee at the Maritime Museum library where she was volunteering and I was a graduate student working on a Library Science degree. She always greeted me and everyone else with her great smile and generosity of spirit. It was wonderful to reconnect with both Ronnee and Don at the Church of the Epiphany. My heart aches for Don, family and those who love them at Epiphany.

Tom and I so enjoyed being with Ronnee and Don on Sunday mornings. She was a lovely person who always seemed to deal with her illness with grace and poise. Jan Blaising

What a beautiful tribute to Ronnee. It made me cry but in a wonderful way. She had a very beautiful soul. I am so grateful to have been able to call her my friend. Although it was a casual friendship, she always took time to chat and check in to see how I was doing and tell me about an adventure she and her family had. I met her at the post office where I was a window clerk and she had just moved to our town. We shared roots from the east side of the state. I loved her from the start. Thank you for being my friend Ronnee. She

The Harrells and the Silvermans were friends and neighbors in Kalamazoo where our kids played and grew together. We were fortunate to be able to continue our friendship here in South Haven. Ronnee was an inspiration to my wife, Judi, and they supported each other in their parallel fights against cancer. I will be forever greatfull for the friendship and support that Ronnee provided to Judi. She was truly a beautiful person, caring, giving and always optimistic. We are all better for having known her.

Ronnee was my best friend. We met when I was 11 and she, 12. Even though I married and moved away from Michigan, we stayed in touch through the years. I cherish the friendship I had with her. Don, Ryan and Amanda - you are in my prayers. You all so lucky to have had such a special wife and mother. She was a lady of strength and courage and I am a better person for having had her in my life. My love to you all.

She was so sweet during the long and difficult illness. One could feel her faith in every smile and word that came from her. Perhaps alone she felt the sorrow of the prospect of parting from what she loved and spent her life with, but to everyone she meet she displayed a quiet peaceful and loving spirit. She left us with many lovely memories. She showed us how to live.
