Bev and the giant Ridley Family... What a great life. 97! And his daring service in WWII! And his huge family. I imagine you are mourning and celebrating at the same time. Thinking of you all today.

I loved Wednesday morning coffee at McDonalds with Larry and Martha. When his snowbird friends were there he never failed to introduce me as “the Marine”! I loved hearing his stories from WWII. When he would shop I had wonderful times chatting with Martha. At church I made sure to get a hug and a sweet little smooch which was usually followed by a joke about our spouses seeing!! He was a dear friend whom I will miss greatly.

As a little kid I looked forward to going to church just to see this man. It may have just been a friendly smile and a warm handshake but what I looked forward to the most was hearing his stories...of his travels...of his service in the war as an airman....or anything really. What an amazing human being! Rest in Peace Mr. Ridley, you will be missed.

Such a wonderful Geeat Uncle. Always making us giggle! So blessed to have had Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Martha as part of our lives and treasured memories. I’ll always turn to answer if I hear the name “George” called out thanks to this guy! I believe he called me George so many times at one point he forgot my real name. Crazy how he made me feel special by such a funny antic♥️

I remember going to their house when I was little so many years ago. He was my grandpas brother. When I built a model of a B-17 he told me about what he did in the military and pointed out on the model where he operated from. RIP.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Ridley's passing. I remember Martha and Larry at Jericho functions when I was a little girl. Martha helped me learn how to sew at Helen Russell's house. I am a quilter now thanks to them both. But Larry helped me the most with my summer job at Bohn Aluminum during several college years. He helped me so much when I had made payroll mistakes on individual piece work rates. People would be so upset but he would help me handle those Friday mistakes on their checks. What a great man he was to mediate and help me make light of these blunders. So sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Barbara Kozlik Bartlett

We have a lot of wonderful memories spending time at Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Martha's house growing up. Our grandfather, Dawson, was Lawrence's brother and they both had such a wonderful sense of humor and picked on us in a fun way all the time. It was great. He lives on in our hearts along side of our grandfather.
