Mother Israel's Final Prayer

Dear mother Israel we'll miss her prayer,
For she's crossed the tide to over there,
Still it works its way to God's white throne,
And there will comfort those not home
So many others echo on,
Though even now we feel alone.

We recall your wise and gentle grace,
And long again to see your face,
Your hands upon the ivory keys,
And a song you sang the Lord to please.
These comfort those you left behind
To others bringing peace of mind.

O how weeping washes all our pain,
Sorrow is replaced by joy again,
In endless days again we will walk with you,
Eternally where skies are forever blue.
