Irene always welcomed Arlene and me into her home. She was generous and treated us like family. She was intelligent and engaging in conversation. We will not forget her strong spirit. Go with God Irene.

It was such an honor to help Cindy and Art care for Irene during her final days. She was a gracious, kind and lovely lady to the very end. Thank you to her precious family for allowing me to come alongside them during such an intimate time. I will remember all of you fondly! Holly (the Hospice nurse).

The entire New Buffalo Service League will miss Irene. She was a mentor to all of us. Her knowledge and wisdom was the backbone of New Buffalo Service League plus her tremendous work ethic and unending vigor and vitality will never be replaced. Our hearts are sad. Liz Rettig

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom, Cindy. Whenever I talked to her in town, she always had a smile on her face, and she sure didn't let any grass grow under her feet. Irene did so much for our community and I know how much you & Art will miss her.
Think of all the good times you shared and hope it brings much comfort to you and your family.
