I always smiled when I saw Dale and Kay at Fernwood or out birding. Dale was a gentle, quiet man who always shared kind and thoughtful words. How he loved his family. Sending birds and butterflies of comfort to Kay, April, and Bradley.

Kay, April and the entire Longacre Family, we are so saddened to learn of Dale’s passing. He put up a good and long fight. He is at peace and I’m certain that he would want all of you and his many friends to focus on all the good times and memories we all have of him. We will all remember Dale as being a quiet, gentle and genuine man of great integrity. He will be greatly missed, but we have the knowledge that he is still there smiling down on us and will always be part of our lives.
Love to you all. Jim and Kathy Benjamin

I had the pleasure of working with Dale at the Village of Galien and on the Galien Neighborhood Watch. He was always a kind and honest man. Our community has lost a man that cared about the town. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

I met Dale at MSU. We became friends right away. I kinda lost track of him after graduation in 71. I regret that in 1988, when I went to work for the City of Buchanan, that we never got back together. He was a great friend, and a great man.

Dale was such a good man and police officer who was a friend to the community of Galien. He was trusted by our kids who could go to him with any issues. I’m so sorry for Kay and family, I know he will be missed dearly. God Speed Dale.
