Johannes Christiaan Kruger

Johannes Christiaan Kruger, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully at his home in St. Joseph on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Johannes was born November 10, 1955 in Nigel, South Africa to Stephanus and Aletta (deLange) Kruger. On September 22, 2012 he married the love of his life, Marolien Kriel and was a devoted and cherished husband ever since. Johan was very mechanically inclined; he built his own Austin Healey, but enjoyed all cars and motorcycles. He loved to work with his hands, and upon moving to St. Joseph, showcased his woodworking skills on his new fixer upper home. Johan will be remembered for his easy-going nature; people were always drawn to his friendly nature. Johannes is survived by his wife, Marolien Kruger; and his siblings, Wimpie Kruger, Faansie Kruger, Drieka Furstenburg, and Wilna van As. He is preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family will gather to celebrate Johan’s life at 9am, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Caring Circle Hospice.
