I have never known a woman with more kindness, compassion, and smiles than Jan. Her devotion to family and the Lord were unwavering and her wonderful spirit infectious. I remember applying for a job at an Adult Book store and when she found out, she told me she would pray I didn't get it (I didn't get it). This world is lesser place with her passing, but I will always be a better person for knowing her. Knowing she is gone leaves me with tears for her and her amazing daughters. Knowing she is reunited with her son (and my childhood friend) leaves me with a smile. "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light".

Dear family of Jan, Today I am so grateful for the incredible time 20 years ago that I knew your mother in Sunfield and she mentored me in the school of listening to Jesus voice. She had so much joy and love and I was thinking of her this week and tried to call her. I was shocked to know she was with her Lord at last. Happy for her joy fulfilled and so sad I missed saying goodby to her. Her influence in my life has made me a new person.
