Family! I just learned of this today! I am so sorry, and hoping you all, and the kiddos, are feeling at peace -even though you will miss the heck out of her.
What I remember about your mom was how she struggled with balancing being a single mom with a necessary full-time career. I think we gave her quite a hard time! But you know, she always had a sense of humor! and I know she had your backs, no matter what.

Dear Members of Irene's Family:
My deepest condolences and sympathies on your loss. I have so many good memories of working with Irene for many years at All-Phase. She was such a caring and conscientious employee, and had the kind of work ethic that was of the highest level. If memory serves me correctly, while we were both working at All-Phase Irene purchased a home on Glenlord Road. Once she found out (through our casual conversation) that I had helped my father build that house for my Grandmother many, many years prior to her purchasing it she invited me over for a "tour"! Unfortunately I never took her up on the offer, but to this day every time I drive by that house I think of both Irene as well as my Grandmother. I wished I would have stopped to visit with her. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. God bless.

Miss Irene. Our dear neighbor who loved Ari as her own. Irene watched like a hawk for her getting off the bus to make sure my baby was safe. They enjoyed lots of treats, many hours of cartoons, and made lots of memories together. Just like a loving grandma to Ari. Thanks for all you did for us and I'm so glad we became such great friends. You will be deeply missed. We love you Irene , keep that hawk eye out we will still need you watching over us. And God knows you'll send that bolt of lightning down on anyone who messes with us. That's just who you are. A blessing to all. Love ya Mama Bear.

Mom,
It's only been a day since you've been gone and I still can't believe it. Only cause you've always been there...for everything. Every single activity we were involved in you were there, everything your grandkids were involved in you were there. Not only were you a good Mom, you were one of the strongest women that I've ever seen. What other Mom would run down kids who ripped off our Halloween bags? You also had to be a good father. You had a unique way of discipling me on the rare occasions I misbehaved. I remember once you told me "don't make me call your uncle Pat". Fear ran through me and I'm pretty sure I straightened right up. Thanks for being the Mother you were, thanks for being the role model you were. I miss you already and Love you very much.
