Judge, my sincerest sympathies to you and your family on Dixie's passing. Don often spoke lovingly of Dixie. She was such a huge influence on his life. She certainly had us in stitches a few years ago when she was telling us about her adventures with you, Don and Bob when you were all in school. You and your family will be in my prayers.

I spent one wonderful summer at Indian Lake with Dixie while she was pregnant with Caitlin Every afternoon Dixie and I would meet at my pier with two other women (Mary and Julie) and discuss whatever challenges we were encountering plus solve the problems of the world. My daughter Melanie and Owen were the same age and good friends.
In later years we both agreed that it was one of the most special years of our lives that we could never recreate it. Dixie was the only one who I stayed in contact with. Now she is gone. I will miss sharing that summer with her.
She was a marvelous person and enjoyed following her through her postings on Facebook. Yes, I have saved many of her recipes.

With a saddened heart I write this, though its been years since I have seen Mrs. Comstock, being a friend of Caitlin when she lived in Phoenix. I will always remember her warm smile and welcoming arms, she was a lovely woman. My condolences to the family, God's speed Mrs. Comstock!

My sweet friend Dixie, You will be missed so much. ken and I only had the honer of knowing you for 6 or 7 years, but they were the best. Our happy hours, and pizza parties , just talking for hours about our lives Will never be forgotten. How you helped me when I was sad about Gianna was priceless. I wear the boots that you gave me with pride. You will never be forgotten. The angel you gave me that was given to you when Owen died, will always be in my china closet.
I love you

Oh, Caitlin. I am so sorry to hear that your beloved Mom has passed away. She was a light in this world and I am so grateful to have known her. I know that she was enormously proud of you and Owen. And you loved each other so well. She was blessed indeed to have a daughter like you. Please hug yourself and your wonderful Uncle Judge for me.

Dixie, along with her sister, Kathy, were among my earliest friends when we lived in Bala Cynwyd, PA as very young children. Our mothers, Virginia Plummer and Ann Kyle became friends there, and stayed in touch for the rest of their lives. Though Dixie and I never saw each other again after we moved away when I was about 4 years old, my mother kept me informed of her family news, and I reconnected with (through Facebook) at my Mom’s request when Virginia Plummer died. Young as we were, I have happy memories of Dixie and Kathy and am so sorry to learn that Dixie has passed away. My condolences to your entire family.

Not once in my life did I doubt that my big sister loved me and was proud of me. She exuded warmth, charm and love and was always willing to help. I miss her more than words can say.
