Robert James Rhoa

Robert J. “Bob” Rhoa, 77, of St. Joseph, passed away at his home on Monday, March 8, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 12, 2021, at 1:30PM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church St., St. Joseph, with Fr. Arul officiating. Burial will follow Riverview Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 11, 2021, from 5PM until 7PM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. A rosary will be recited at 6:30PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Michigan Catholic Schools, 915 Pleasant St., St. Joseph, Caring Circle, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, or Berrien County Cancer Services, 3900 Hollywood Rd., St. Joseph. He graduated from Visitation High School and then moved to Detroit where he met the love of his life Karen Kelly, marrying on August 28, 1965. Bob owned and operated Lake Michigan Mailers. He enjoyed engaging in the stock market, boating and most importantly spending his time with his family. Bob was an continuously optimistic person who was known for his honor, charity and enthusiasm. He will be missed by all that knew him. Bob is survived by wife of 55 years, Karen Rhoa of St. Joseph; sons, Jeff (Marni) Rhoa of Stevensville, David (Deedra) Rhoa of Mattawan and Matthew Rhoa of San Diego, CA; and grandchildren, Megan, Brittnay and Nicholas Rhoa. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur & Erma Rhoa; son Brian Rhoa; and brothers Richard & Donald Rhoa.
