Leslie and Laura, so sadden to hear about the loss of your dad. One memory I can share is that I remember every Fall my dad would take a trip out to Fred's place to get us enough potatoes to get us through the winter. Your dad knew how to raise a good potato. And, there was never a time when you saw Fred out in public that he didn't have a warm and friendly smile on his face. Sincerely, Charlie and Jeanie Cady

Our deepest sympathy to Fred's family, Mrs. Prak; Leslie, Greg, Alison, Laura, Colby and Will. I have never known a bigger cheerleader at Lawton High School than Mr. Prak when he was cheering his grandchildren on in many sports. He was so proud of them. You could see his passion for their success. He was a strong man and I always saw him smiling. Prayers for strength and comfort for all of you. Love from the Barkalows

Every time I eat potatoes I think of Fred and Joan. Since leaving Decatur I've never had a potatoe as good as the ones Fred gave to me and my family. "Nothing better than potatoes grown in the muck" Fred told me. Fred also always reminded me of my dad. Strong faith. Strong convictions. Strong Dutch accent. Strong character and personality. Just plain strong. Working so hard for so many years makes you strong in so many great ways. Hard work is a gift from God. "The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it" (Genesis 2:15). Thank you Fred for all the ways you honored Jesus with all the strength God gave you.

Fred was an outstanding person. After the digger went through the field, I remember picking up potatoes and putting them in wooden crates, then loading those crates into a wagon. I only made it one season. That was one of the hardest jobs I had as a kid growing up in Decatur. Sending my deepest condolences to the family.
