Gary's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Gary here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Dear Marcia and family, We were so saddened to hear that Gary has pasted away. He was a good man with a generous heart. He and Charlie were always close friends and shared a great interest in farming. Although, they would spend much time visiting about family also. Somehow, though in all their many times of drawing together for a short visit, it would be lengthened by talking about cars. He will be deeply missed and you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Charlie and Jeanie Cady

We send condolences to your family on Gary’s passing. It is sad time for all of you. We pray that God gives you comfort.
When you lived in Decatur and attended the Presbyterian church , we enjoyed watching your family and seeing your children grow. We loved talking with all of you each week. Those years passed so quickly. But we have good memories of all of you and those years.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you for your loss. I am one of Gary's classmates from high school. During that time I had a lot of respect for him and his decisions in life during that time. We did not have contact since then except for maybe 1 or 2 high school reunions.
From seeing the events and choices he made after high school, one can believe that making the right choices can result in happiness. May his soul be at peace forever. Steve Sowa

Dear HOWE Family,
I am so sorry, for your loss. Gary was such a great guy, loved his family so much, and I know you will miss him, but you have so many memories.... Hold tight to those and they will carry you thru. He is in heaven safe and sound. (With my brother Jerry who died the same day) Marcia know that I am a phone call away. I love you and your family, kids and grandkids, and sending you HUGGGSSS and prayers for comfort and healing of your broken hearts... Advice is to give yourself time to grieve and be on the roller coaster as I call it and you will be up and down and come into a "NEW NORMAL" and then swallow hard and go on, Give yourself time to grieve ... be on the roller coaster, and give yourself time. . . . sorry sounds like i just said the same thing but... it will take time, so give yourself time....oops said it again LOVE ya SallyHH

My deepest heart felt condolences to the Howe family. I have many fond memories of growing up with Gary. We were in church and school together. Played in the band and played sports together. Some of my best memories as a kid were sledding on the great hill and trying to ride pigs in the barn on the farm. I think it was the only time I peed on an electric fence. Dang you Howe .. RIP my friend
