Daniel's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Daniel here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
It would be a long story to those who don't know the circumstances, but I will always remember the help I got from Dan and Karen over the phone when I was half hysterical over a situation where I was afraid I might legally lose a dog I had found and bonded with. They were my lighthouse in the storm. Thanks to the advice and direction I received, my little Teddy is by my side as I write this. It is a wonderful memory I will always carry with me. I only met Dan in person one time but would love to have been in a position to spend more time with Karen and him and to have gotten to know him better. Unfortunately, great distance separated us.

Dear Karen and family
My deepest condolences to you and the family. Dan will live on in my memory as a kind, intelligent person -- our conversations were always interesting and lively ! Happy memories of the time you two visited me in England, and then most recently when we visited with you during the Summer of 2018 - Daniel and Nick never stopped talking the whole time! My life is richer for having known him; I am thankful for the years you two travelled through this life together. I am adding a photo from my visit in 2002. I will be with you virtually tomorrow as you celebrate his life. Love Deb & Nick

Karen and family,
My sincere condolences to you. I always thought so much of Dan. He was a gentleman and the consummate professional in the courtroom. He was also always one of the most dapper dressed. It was nice to have seen the two of you out with your mother at some of the Dogwood events over the years and I will never forget his keen sense of humor. It shows in his smile in his photo. He will be greatly missed by those of us who had the pleasure of knowing him and working with him. Again my sincere sympathy to you and the family.

I am so sad to learn of Dan's passing. We were very close friends in high school, in fact, we walked together for graduation. My family owned the soda bar in New Era & Dan usually found his way down there for a treat & to sit & talk with my Dad, he loved to talk ! The last time I saw Dan was at our class picnic, I hadn't seen him for years. What a wonderful treat that was. My thoughts & prayers go out to Dan's family.
