Donald's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Donald here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Ruthann, Mary Alice, Nancy and Don,
We have many fond memories with your parents and with you kids.
Your parents were so gracious with letting us use their cottage. Our kids and our grandkids still mention fun memories of the cottage and lake.
We won’t forget the trips we took together - especially the time in Colorado with the skunk !
Our trip together through Canada was one of our favorites with your parents.
Joining your parents in Padre Island is another fond memory - especially the quick trips we took to Mexico for cheap booze !
Your Dad’s fishing “ instructions “ taught Mick even more than he thought he knew about fishing !, and those times will be missed ...
Please know we will think of you often and that we hold ( and also Keith, Beth and Jan ) a special part in our hearts for your parents and all of you.
We send or love,
Lee and Mick, Keith, Beth and Jan.

Ruth Anne, Mary Alice, Nancy Lee (the red haired girls with two names) and Donald, I will never forget the wonderful times that I had when our families got together camping on your property near Baldwin. I don't know if you remember our dads taking us fishing in that freshly stocked stream (I'm not sure that it was totally legal)or floating in the lake on that foam mountain. Oh what fun, we are blessed to have such wonderful memories. I am so sorry for your loss, your dad was a kind generous man.

Our family has missed the Noah's since Alice passed away and Don no longer stayed at the "middle" home in Sodus (between the North and South). They were the best neighbors - always friendly and polite. We would pass them often walking along the road enjoying nature. My wife and I walk the road now and she'll say, "I've turned into Mrs. Noah!" Don would always point out that the tree facing his place was going to topple into the creek - the roots are badly eroded; I often would like to tell him it's still standing but I don't know for how much longer! Good memories! I'm sure you have many too!

I met Don when I hired in at Hughes Plasitcs in St. Joe in 1961, my first job just out of high school. I pursued a career in plastics as well, though changed career some 20 years later in life. Don was a truly nice guy in management. He and my father in law Ed Warren were engineers together at Whirlpool. Rest in peace. My condolences to the family

I will miss my big brother. Jim and I enjoyed the many times fishing with Don. He would take us on so many fishing trips in Texas. Once he got stuck on a sand bar looking for that best fishing hole. Jim and I had to get out of the boat into the water and push the boat. That didn’t stop him. He was always chasing that illusive better fishing spot.
He was so proud of his 4 children. They were indeed a blessing to him.

I always remember Don as having a much louder bark than bite! His wife made sure of that I think. When his daughters went to church Don and his son went hunting or fishing but I believe he communicated with his maker in nature much better than inside four walls. Don and Alice raised four amazing children (and several generations of beagles) who I am proud to call friends I am so happy he and Alice will be together again. Even as a young child I realized how much they adored each other. God bless!
