David Scott Sater

David S. Sater, 62, of Stevensville, passed away on Thursday, July 16. 2020, at his home. A private family service will be held at a later date. David was born on May 24, 1958, to Donald & Shirley (McIntyre) Sater in Battle Creek. He attended St. Joseph High School. David worked for UPS, most recently in the Next Day Air Department, for more than 40 years before his retirement in 2019. On June 3, 2000, David married the love of his life Cathrine Nernberg at their home in Stevensville. David was always a curious, fun and loving man. He had a passion for fishing, playing pool and having cookouts with his friends. Most of all, David loved to spend his time with his family. David is survived by his wife, Cathrine Sater of Stevensville; mother Shirley (Doyle) Roberts of St. Joseph; children, Krystal (Joel) Vance of Stevensville and Jessica Sater of Stevensville; grandchildren, Hailey, Avah and Kinsley Vance; brother Donald Sater of Stevensville; half-brother Brian Martin of Arizona; uncle Buddy (Carol) McIntyre of Niles; aunt Jeri (Steve) Stewart of Wisconsin; and special friends, Jack Hill Jr., of St. Joseph and Dave Coble of Stevensville. David was preceded in death by his father Donald Sater and his grandparents.
