We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Elizabeth here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
I first met Libby in grad School at Eau Claire back in the 70’s. Joe, Libby, Dennis and I also spent time together as young married couples. Riding motorcycles or roller coasters, boating and fishing were some fun times. She had a contagious smile and always fun to be with, even a Notre Dame game in the rain!
Our sincere sympathy to Joe and family.

Libby was an active member of the Van Buren District Library Board. I will always think of Libby as a mentor. Libby always took the time to take my sometimes lengthy phone calls, and was generous in sharing her Human Resources knowledge and experiences with me. Van Buren District Library will not be the same without her wisdom and spirit.

Libby was at her best when she was working with children and young people. She loved to read stories to the younger students and share their excitement and joy. For the older ones she never tired of searching book stores for new books that would captivate them, make them think, and perhaps help them deal better with their own lives. She would buy these treasured books, read them, and then donate them to the school library.
Libby loved learning and wanted to share that treasure with our school and community. She wished the best for our small community and enjoyed the beauty of living on one of the channels of Lake of the Woods.
