Maggie Jeanette “Jan” Eighme, 85, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020, at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph. Jan was born November 26, 1934, in Ashburn, GA, to Ellis and Buena (Priest) Beasley. She graduated from Forest Lake Academy in Apopka, FL, in 1952. She then went on to Southern Missionary College and Florida Hospital where she received her RN Degree. This was followed by attending Pacific Union College (PUC) in Angwin, CA, where she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing. While at PUC, she met and then married Reginold “Reg” Eighme on June 22, 1959, in Orlando FL. Jan worked for Lakeland Hospital from 1973 until her retirement in 2001. She was a member at Pioneer Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church where she served as a Deaconess and volunteered at Neighbor to Neighbor. Jan was an excellent seamstress who also enjoyed camping, traveling and making greeting cards. She always enjoyed staying in touch with family and friends. Jan is survived by her husband Reginold “Reg” Eighme of almost 61 years; daughters Keri (John) Robison and Vicki (Kevin) Wiley; 3 grandchildren Brandon (Whitney) Robison, Katelyn (Ben) Mock and Lindsey Robison; 5 great grandchildren Parker, Landon and Charlie Robison and Jane and Eleanor Mock; siblings Leroy (Shirley) Beasley and Linda Freeman; and seven nieces and nephews. Jan was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service of Jan’s life will be held at a later date, as restrictions allow. Memorial gifts may be made to Neighbor to Neighbor in Berrien Springs.
