To Ruth and Family
From Sheri Wallis
DEATH IS NOTHING AT ALL
by Henry Scott-Holland
Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened.
Everything remains exactly as it was.
I am and you are you, and the old life that we
lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that
we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without any effort, without the
ghost of a shadow upon it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very
near, just around the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

My memories of Harold are of a kind, gentle, caring, thoughtful and helpful man. I so enjoyed any conversation with him as he always was so interesting and interested in the person he was talking. Although after his retiring from the bank and my retirement I did not see him much I always felt he was a great friend.
My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Ruth and the entire family. We lost a great man to this world but heaven gained a great one.

Ruth,
I am so sorry to hear about Harold. He was such a wonderful man.
Always so friendly and had a smile for everyone. Always liked talking
to him at the Lions Club activities. May he rest in peace. Hopefully he
and Joe have already connected.

Family, life and our community are diminished with the passing of Uncle Harold, Heaven is enriched. Uncle Harold was one of a kind, giving, kind, compassionate a truly great guy, Husband, Father, Grandfather and when it comes to Uncles, our family has
always been blessed and Harold was as good of Uncle as one can ever hope to have.
In the 60's era when his parents were celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary, Uncle Harold took us kids to the Silver Beach Amusement park to keep us from being underfoot......as the commercials say now -- it was the "Best Day Ever", recently on a trip
home, we were blessed to have breakfast -- it is another memory that I will cherish forever, a selfness man, that was undoubtedly in discomfort being there for family and then extending the morning with our Twin-Cities car tour.
Harold loved his family, his church and community and they loved him. He also gave more than he got. We love him and will miss him. - Keith & Kayty Sanders

I miss our family gatherings where Uncle Harold would always make us smile and laugh. Everyone that knew him thought of him as such a kind and considerate person. He always made a point to keep in touch with my mother after my father Ray Borlik died in 1980. He will be missed and my heart goes out to the Borlik family.
