Warrene L. Springsteen

Warrene L. Springsteen, 98, of Dowagiac, passed away, Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Forest Glen Assisted Living. A private burial at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac will take place at a later date. Warrene was born February 14, 1922, in Dowagiac, to Joseph and Cecil (Rutherford) Lieber. She graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1940. Warrene was crowned Miss Dowagiac in 1939. On November 15, 1941, she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Leslie L. Springsteen in Dowagiac. Warrene loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Warrene is survived by her children, Andrea (John) Rosevelt and Tim (Georgann) Springsteen; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leslie Springsteen; siblings, Paul Lieber, Lucille Burge and Gordon Lieber. Warrene’s family would like to thank the staff at Forest Glen Assisted Living for their love and care.
