Got to know mike when i worked at the hardware store in berrien springs. He was a nice, hardworking, gentle man who I enjoyed getting to know. He was very giving and he gave his all for the fairgrounds while he worked there. Even when i began working at shamrock park i was glad to keep in touch with him. God bless him. I will miss him very much. Rick Camacho, Berrien Springs.

To all who loved and knew Mike Jackson. I have procrastinated and told myself to breath every time I think about all the loved one's he left behind and how to express sympathy and condolences. His legacy is majestic. His unselfishness was awesome. His strength was surmountable. May his cherished memories live on in all of his families' heart's and the many he touched in his young life on this earth. He and his family will never be forgotten. Until we see him again......
Respectfully, Gladys Bybee

He was a great guy. He was my first supervisor when I started at the tribe doing housekeeping in 2007. My thoughts, prayers and hugs go out to the family.

He will be missed. He used to come in the Eau Claire Fruit Exchange when I worked there and it was always a pleasure to talk to him and see his smiling face. Sending hugs and prayers to all the family

My wife and I are so terribly sorry to hear of the loss of Mike and our sympathies and thoughts are with his family and friends.
I grew up with Mike and will always consider him to be my best friend even though we lost touch for many years after I moved out of state back around 1977/78. I have such great memories of spending hours exploring the woods behind his family's farm, sleeping out in the old camper and later in a shack built in the woods. We'd stay up until well past midnight by a roaring campfire planning how we'd spend the rest of our lives hunting, fishing, camping... all the things boys our age dreamed of. We terrorized his sister Kristy and tried our best to ditch his brother Timmy who always wanted to follow us.
My childhood wouldn't have been complete without Mike in it and I can honestly say although we lost touch, I doubt there was a week that went by the past 40 years where at one point or another I didn't think about him or our times hanging out together. Mike was kind hearted, loyal, adventurous and just somebody you loved hanging out with - I'm sure those qualities just grew as time went by.
The world is a lesser place without him in it and I pray that everyone in his family finds comfort in such a difficult time. My thoughts are with you all.
I included a photo I doubt anyone has ever seen of Mike. He came with me to Wisconsin once before I moved and stayed with my grandmother and grandfather for a week. We rode bikes, went to movies, went fishing and just generally spent time hanging out together.
