Janet's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Janet here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Asa Gay, I send by deepest condolences to you and your family at the loss of your wife Janet. Although I did not know Janet, I felt moved to send you a note of sympathy. You may not remember me, but you broke me into the rigors of running quality checks on new oven start-ups at Hudson Wire Co. In Cass starting in October of 1961.
Since I was the new Engineering Tech, I came in for the third shift for Monday morning start-ups and you would bring samples of the wire from ovens your operators had just started and I had to verify that the Plain Enamel or Hudsol varnish had the proper cure and met customer specs. Of course you would wait for me to complete these tests - and in the process regale me with an endless string of stories, jokes (some risqué ones) and one liners. You certainly could have been a stand up comedian. Needless to say you made a positive impression on me so that I always remembered you following my short stay at Hudson Wire. If you do remember me, you may also remember that I got married on May 5, 1962 and two weeks later left Hudson Wire for another job.
Again I extend my prayers to you and your family in this time of loss --- Jim Greve

Dear Asa and family,
So very sorry to read of Janet's death. She was such an important part of our class reunions and we cared deeply for her. I wish I could be there for her service but will be unable to. Please know I will be thinking for all of you and praying for you.
Blessings to you, Marj Harding
