Paul's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Paul here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
In 1986, we got lucky twice. First was buying a small cottage on Cable Lake and second was having Paul and Adele Straub as our closest neighbors. My sons were both in awe of Paul's fishing acumen and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his many good talks with Paul over the years. He was a kind man who was patient with our four noisy children and seeing him in his signature fishing hat out on the lake brought a smile to my face each and every time. Visiting with him this past January, he seemed at peace with what was coming his way and couldn't say enough about his deep love for Adele. What a guy! -Kathleen Veith

I am so sorry to hear about Paul passing. I always enjoyed waiting on him when he would come in. My prayers to Adele and family at this time.

To Paul Straub’s wife and family, I have very fond memories of this guy! He sold me my very first car when I was 18 years old and my 2nd car as well after totaling the first one. Paul and his wife came to my wedding a few years later! Rarely does your car sales guy become your friend! Sometime later I bought a wooden goose for my home decor! Sadly life happened and I lost contact with him. Just happened to look at obituaries today from Herald Palladium and saw his obituary! I regret that I lost contact with a great man but am truly blessed that he impacted my life in such a positive way. Trusting I will see him when faithful Christians will reunite in Heaven, read I Thessalonians 4:13-18. Comfort and hugs to Adele, Paul’s wife!
