My condolences to the Quick family. Steve was a good man, a great friend and co-worker. My Nephew also had the privilege to work with Steve and liked him very much. He kept me informed on Steve's recent health issues. I met Steve in 1970 while working for Weldun. Steve was in the apprenticeship class one-year ahead of mine. Steve was always pleasant to talk with and uplifting. We played Euchre every day during our lunch break. During the winter a group of us would meet once a week at a local school and play basketball or volleyball. The most fun we had was playing slo-pitch softball. We both played the outfield. He was the best opposite field hitter. They knew he was going to do it but he had way more hits than outs. I'll never forget the first tournament we won. We were so happy.
Unfortunately, as time goes on and we go our separate ways, we fail to stay in touch. I will always have fond memories of Steve.

Our sympathy to all the Quick family. You will be in our hearts and in our prayers at this difficult time. I didn’t know Gordon, but I worked with Matt for many years in Arizona - such a wonderful young man - my life was truly blessed by his kindness and generosity. God bless and bring healing peace to you, Gordon’s family, and may Gordon rest in the peace of our Heavenly Father.

Only good memories of Steve. He was my friend and co-worker at Weldun for many years. He started his apprenticeship in the group after mine. Steve was a true "Gentleman", always reluctant to get caught up in the shop talk that was so common. He and I cut firewood together several years. He was a good worker and a good friend to many. To my shame I hadn't seen him in many years. Sad how people don't keep in touch. Rest in peace with your Lord my friend. Your Brother in Christ, Dick Fein

Steve was an amazing man who will be missed by so many. I will always remember how he gave us his time to the teens - mine being one - of our youth group. Even when he was struggling health wise, he still came and was the example of Jesus to those kids. Many of them have been asking about him and will miss him. We love and miss him - but we know he's in heaven celebrating with the Savior now❤!
