Ann, I extend to you my deepest sympathies for the loss of your beloved David. I felt that I knew him from our numerous conversations. He was so very fortunate to have you as his mother, providing all the love and care that he richly deserved. He was special as is his mother and certainly will not be forgotten by all those who were fortunate to be part of his life. I wish you peace during this time of healing and beyond.

I had the privilege of working with David from the time he was three until he was 13. His sense of humor was contagious. I will always remember the sparkle in his eyes when he was playing me during our speech sessions. Interacting with David inspired me to look beyond the disabilities that my students were affected by to find the person hidden within. I love David's enjoyment of science and nature and seeing him smile when I made a joke or hearing him laugh made my day. The world is a little bit colder without the ray of sunshine that was David's smile. Rest easy, my friend. Your work here is done. You made me a better therapist and a better person and I will always remember you.
