Karen A. Gross

Karen A. Gross, 79, of Dowagiac, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center St. Joseph. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 24, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1409 Niles Buchanan Rd, Niles, MI 49120. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions in Karen’s name may be made to the family, in care of Robert Gross. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.clarkch.com. Karen was born on June 5, 1938 to Orson and Inez (Long) Bagley in Rexburg, Idaho. She graduated high school in 1956. On September 26, 1989 she married Robert “Bob” Gross in Tacoma, WA. During her time in Washington, she loved playing the Steel Guitar and was part of a Hawaiian Band. Karen was known as a crafty person, she loved making wall hangings and creating decorative photo albums. She was an avid reader and well educated. Most of all she loved her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. Karen is survived by her loving husband, Bob Gross; children Richard (wife Debbie) Reneman, Wayne (wife Trudy) Reneman, Brenda (husband Bryan) Jann and Sue (husband Tim) O’Brien; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings Dale Bagley and Nedra Bagley. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Sherry Bale; infant son Leon Wade Reneman and sister Marjean Canty.
