I would like to express my sincere sympathy to the family .Helen was such a kind person.
I remember being in 4-H cooking class she was so patient with us kids , and I felt so lucky to
be at the Wren Oaks Farm it was such a pretty home. I remember always looking at the
wooden plaque of you 4 children as a little kid I thought it was neat. My family really enjoyed the time we got to see all the antique tractors at the farm as well . She always remembered me when ever we met . Helen was very Blessed and you are Blessed to have such a great mom. May She Rest in Peace.

Jane, I was so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I was hoping to see you at the visitation, but heard you couldn't make it. I hope you are doing well, I miss you and often think of you when passing the old homestead. Take care always!

I remember Aunt Helen's sweet spirit and kind smile. As a child, I remember my parents taking us to Uncle Earl and Aunt Helen's home for family gatherings. It was always so exciting. Too bad that we have been unable to stay close over the years. The last time I saw her was at Dick and Joyce Marhanka's home. She was still as sweet as ever. I am sure that her family will miss her.

Expressing deepest sympathy to Helen's family. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her and the community causes she championed; most importantly, her commitment to Southwestern Michigan College and its Foundation.

Cindee and I always thought so much of Helen, we didn't get a lot of time to get over and visit but we did have a great visit with her when she was in her home there in Dowagiac. We also had some great times when Helen was down in Englewood Florida where my parents were also located. She loved to play her cards. We were fortunate to have her attend many of our family events from 50th wedding anniversaries to more. As a young boy I was fortunate to spend time at Wren Oaks Farm camping back behind the house on the lake and staying in the cabin that used to be back there, my father along with Bud and Gary and a few others would camp out there and of course come up to the house and ride the horses and visit with both Helen and Earl. Also after my college days although living in Chicago I had to make a visit to Michigan and made a point of stopping and seeing Helen and Earl, they were still at the farm and we had a great visit.
She will be missed dearly.
Love to all,
Garry & Cindee Moore

Dearest Aunt Helen, some of the happiest days of my life were spent with you, growing up intertwined with your family, visiting your farm, our wonderful trip to Sweden and so many happy family events, visits and delicious meals too many to remember. You were always a model to me of joyfulness, self sufficiency, generosity, energy, curiosity and loving human kindness. Rest in peace along side dear Uncle Earl; thank you for helping to guide me to adulthood and for being my friend forever. All our love, Gary and Larry
