My family and I remarked many times how lucky we were to have the Wells as neighbors. There was such a positive, caring energy about Jr. ( Mr. Wells, as I mostly knew him growing up). Everyone loved him, because he truly cared about everyone else... he was special. Sending love and prayers to his children....

My deepest condolences to the Well's family. Junior was an exceptional man. His wit & his smile a long with his friendliness to all. He was one of a kind. He never knew a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew him. My heart breaks on his passing. But he will be in peace with the Lord, his beloved Wanda & his daughter Diane. You have left this earth, but will never be forgotten.

Sending my condolences to the Wells family ... Junior leaves behind a legacy of kindness, great family and a golf course that has contributed to moments and memories shared forever by the tens-of-thousands of golfers that have graced the fairways of Hampshire CC over the years. One of my favorite memories growing up at Hampshire was watching Junior take the "short cut" from the maintenance building to the clubhouse, and driving straight up the rough that splits #1/#3 to have some lunch in the clubhouse followed by a round with his pals Mr. Hand and others. Thinking of you, Wells family. I will always appreciate my own personal memories of growing up around the course, and knowing that Junior knew my name and always asked how I was doing, how I was playing, how I was enjoying the course, etc.
