A lifelong resident of the Southwest Michigan community, Brenda attended Lake Michigan College. She has 10 years of HR experience, nine of which were spent with the Starks Family Funeral Homes.

Outside of work, Brenda is heavily involved in her community and the Exchange Club of Southwest Michigan. She has been a member for seven years and was both president and Exchange Club Member of the Year from 2019-2020. 

Brenda loves kayaking, gardening, scrapbooking and spending time with her family. She and her husband Joe have been married for almost 30 years. Together, they have two sons, Brandon and Zack.
