Wilmarie P. “Marie” Jensen, 97, of St. Joseph, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2024, at Caretel Inns St. Joseph.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10AM, at Zion United Church of Christ- St. Joseph, 3001 Veronica Drive, St. Joseph. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 5PM until 7PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Marie was born July 27, 1926, and was raised by Edward & Erna Ziebarth in Benton Harbor. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1945. On February 22, 1947, Marie married the love of her life Walter Jensen at the Zion United Church of Christ in St. Joseph. In Marie spare time, she enjoyed knitting and volunteering at Lakeland Hospital. Her most cherished time was spent with her family.
Marie is survived by her son George (Beverly) Jensen of Portage; granddaughters, Teea Jensen of Mattawan, Lisa Jensen of Commerce, MI, and Pam (Zachary) Lightfoot of Greenwood, IN; numerous great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by husband Walter Jensen in 2018; parents Edward & Erna Ziebarth; and son Allan Jensen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 269-556-9450.
