Grace's Obituary
Grace Peden, 94, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Whitcomb Tower in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday March 18, 2023, at 2:00PM at the Whitcomb Senior Living Tower, 509 Ship St., St. Joseph. Memorial contributions may be made to the Whitcomb Tower’s recreational department. Those wishing to share a memory of Grace online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Grace was born March 20, 1928, in Carleton, MI, to David and Bertha (Farrell) Edward. She graduated from Carleton High School in 1946. Grace married the love of her life, Mel Peden in 1949. She worked at the bomber plant in Willow Run during WWII. Later in life she worked in accounting at many different companies until her retirement. In her younger years, she loved to travel and enjoyed gardening. She had a love for reading and could often be found with a book. Most of all she loved her family and will be greatly missed.
Grace is survived by her sons, Dave (Sharon) Peden and Scott (Sue) Peden; grandchildren, Jason Peden, Katie (Ben) Pasulka, Dan (Cassie) Peden, Mike (Elisa) Peden and Drew Peden; great-grandchildren, JP, Elizabeth, Abigail, Sean, Camille and Izak. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Bertha Edward; husband, Mel Peden; and siblings, Jim Edward, Albert Edward and Bessie Mcfall.
