William "Bill"'s Obituary
William “Bill” Husek, age 76, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024. He was born on September 24, 1947, to Stanley and Evelyn (Robinson) Husek in Hartford, Michigan.
Bill graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1965. Immediately following, he began a pattern making apprenticeship with Star Pattern, company. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam era. He returned to pattern making soon after to establish his own business, B&L Pattern Company, which was passion until his recent illness.
His devotion to his family is evident in his teaching and willingness to help others with projects. A friend once said, “Bill can fix anything”. And he did!
Bill was always the life of the party. He loved jokes, games, and having loads of fun.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia (Bauske) Husek; children, Brian (Marci) Husek of Goshen, IN, Jennifer (Tom) Pepin of Columbus, IN; grandchildren: Bowen Husek, Tad Husek, Hannah Pepin, Lincoln Pepin; brother, Robert Husek; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends that were like family.
A funeral service celebrating Bill’s life will take place on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Starks and Menchinger Chapel (2650 Niles Rd.) with visitation taking place one hour prior to the service. Bill will be laid to rest at North Shore Memory Gardens following services. For a more lasting memory, donations in Bill’s name can be made out to the Ronald McDonald House.
