Ursula's Obituary
Ursula E. Seifert, 91, of St. Joseph, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Corewell Health Lakeland, St. Joseph.
Ursula was born on December 1, 1931, to Gerhart and Martha (Kucera) Sinkwitz in Saxony, Germany. In February of 1951, she married Siegfried J. Seifert in Germany. In her professional life, Ursula served in the security division at Sears, Roebuck and Co.
She had a deep passion for music and dancing, and was one of the founding members of the Illiana Jazz Club. Ursula was also a member of the White Water Yacht Club and the DANK. She took immense pride in being a loving mother and provided unwavering support to her children. Ursula had a strong sense of adventure, a love for animals, and she had a wide circle of friends.
Ursula is survived by her daughters, Viola (Lawrence) Wuske and Victoria (Mark) Thies; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerhart and Martha Sinkwitz; husband of 69 years, Siegfried Seifert and sons, Ingo and Gilbert Seifert.
