Tracy's Obituary
Tracy Lanette Wendzel, aged 52, passed away unexpectedly on September 16th 2022, in Chicago, Illinois.
She was born on July 12th 1970, in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Tracy spent her life serving others in the medical field. She loved her career, just as much as she loved helping her patients. Tracy was loved by everyone that knew her, and she always put everyone before herself. She was a mom to many “kids”, and never turned anyone away, or passed judgment on others. Tracy had the most beautiful, kind, and caring soul. Her personality could light up an entire room. She loved watching Notre Dame football with her dad. Go Irish!
She is survived by her parents, Ruthann Broderick and Thomas Broderick; 4 children, Ashley Pearson, Alyssa Wendzel, Nathan Wendzel and Steven Nye; 4 grandchildren, Randy Pearson, Addison Pearson, Baylee Smith, and Samuel Nye; and spouse, David York.
Friends and family whose lives have been touched by Tracy, are invited to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd, St. Joseph, on Monday, September 26th for a visitation starting at 10:00am. A memorial service will be held immediately after the visitation at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. All those that wish to pay their respects are welcome.
Tracy was an avid advocate for both children and animals, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Scleroderma Foundation.
