Tom was born on August 12, 1934 in Naylor, Missouri, to Thomas E. & Elsie (Ward) Boozer. He was a graduate from Berrien Springs Public High School. He spent his early years working on the family farm and in later years pursued a life-long career in the concrete industry.

He worked for Bechtel Corporation for several years setting up portable concrete plants to supply concrete for nuclear power plant projects across the United States. He was involved in supplying all the concrete for Three Mile Island Nuclear Plant and also the Peach Bottom Nuclear Power Plant in Pennsylvania. He worked in this challenging job for several years.

He then worked for National Mobile Concrete Corporation for several years working his way up as Director of Maintenance securing qualified personnel and various legal documents and gained a lot of concrete sales experience. His first big job with the company was the Company's sale of concrete for the Three Mile Island Atomic Power Plant.

He later managed the concrete operation for Consumers Asphalt and Concrete Corporation. When the Kalamazoo firm Consumers Concrete purchased the concrete portion from Consumers Asphalt & Concrete Company in Benton Harbor, Tom went to work for the Consumers of Kalamazoo, running the Paw Paw Ready Mix Plant and later becoming Consumer's regional salesman for Southwest Michigan. Tom was a well-liked and successful sales person and continued as such until his retirement from Consumers Concrete Company in Benton Harbor in 1999. A year later started a part-time job selling specialty concrete tools and equipment for The Rental Branch in St. Joseph. This position gave him a lot of satisfaction as he had the opportunity to reconnect with people he had serviced in his previous job.

He married Hilde (Schwanke) Versaw in 1983 and they enjoyed 40 happy years together with family and lots of friends golfing, bowling and entertaining and working on home projects together. Tom also loved to fish and spent a lot of time out on lake Michigan with his friend Chris Rose.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ray Boozer and his wife Evelyn: his sisters, Mary Boozer, and Sister Barbara (Larry) Cochran. He is survived by his loving wife, Hilde of 40 years; sisters, Kay Rendel, and Gerry Zimmerle; his son, Mike (Sherri) Boozer, his son Mitchell (Cheryl) Boozer of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter, Tricia Boozer; great-granddaughter, Brook Gwilliam; grandson, Matt Boozer of Virginia Beach, VA; stepsons, Keith (Kim) Versaw, and David Versaw of Austin, TX.
