Susan's Obituary
Susan Marie Kole, 60, of Benton Harbor, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at her home in Benton Harbor. She was born October 19, 1962 in Watervliet, MI to Thomas and Arvilla (Alexis) Wood.
The family will be having a memorial gathering from 3-5pm, Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan, www.humanesocietyswm.org.
Susan’s favorite moments in life were spent with family, cooking out, enjoying family dinner every week, and caring for her beloved dogs. She was a kind and giving woman who will be missed dearly by her family.
Susan is survived by her children, Erin Scruggs, Jason Scruggs, Kathryn Clark, and Amy Clark; 14 grandchildren; one great grandchild; her mother and father; and her siblings, Kathryn Powers, Tom Wood, and Brenda Lyons. She is preceded in death by her husband, Shawn Kole.
