SueAnn's Obituary
SueAnn Getman of South Haven, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the age
of 56. She was born October 20, 1967, to Robert Eugene and Carol Ann (Barnett) Pallo.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m at the Filbrandt
Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Eric Jarvis officiating. SueAnn will be laid
to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
SueAnn graduated from high school in Grand Rapids and went on to further her education at Kalamazoo
Valley where she received her LPN associate degree. She worked at Gilmore Treatment Center in
Kalamazoo for ten years as a nurse. SueAnn was a huge proponent of the AA Community where she
spent fifteen years in long term recovery and went on to chair meetings at the Van Buren County Jail for
nine years. SueAnn married Andrew Otto Getman on August 13, 2010. Family was SueAnn’s main focus.
She loved to spend time with her grandson and family. She always gave from her heart. In her free
time, she enjoyed fishing.
SueAnn is survived by her husband, mother, children; Mallory McKenzie, Robert James McKenzie and
Bailey Getman, grandchild; Cashis McKenzie, brothers; David (Margaret) Pallo, Andy (Lori) Pallo and
James (Penny) Mugs Pallo.
SueAnn is preceded in death by her father.
