Steven's Obituary

Steven B. Ehrlich, 75, of South Haven, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at
The University of Michigan Hospital-West in Wyoming, Michigan.

Steve was born March 10, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to Tobie (Schwartz) and Sam Ehrlich. He
married Deborah Komar on December 17, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois. They shared 49 years of
marriage before his passing. Steve was a fan of all things - baseball, especially the Chicago
White Sox. He played on South Haven’s vintage baseball team the Bark Peelers. His teammates
lovingly called him Fireplug. Steve loved the outdoors, telling stories and playing the horses.

Steve is survived by his wife Debbie, his children Alison Berg of Arlington Heights, IL and Bob
(Mandi) Ehrlich of St. Joseph, Michigan. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Mitchell Berg,
Haley Berg, Andrew Berg, Sam Ehrlich and Hank Ehrlich, his brother Burt (Julie) Ehrlich,
Chicago, IL. and his sister, Karen (Leon) Sutton, NY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will take place Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM, Eastern Time, at Sleepy
Hollow Resort’s Community Room, 7400 North Shore Drive, South Haven 49090. The family will
be receiving condolences following the service until 5:00 PM in the Community Room. In lieu
of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Al Van Humane Society, PO Box 421,
South Haven, MI 49090, First Hebrew Congregation, 249 Broadway St. South Haven, MI 49090
or the charity of your choice.
